Horizon Meeting Held May 5 in Elgin

Horizon Meeting Held In Elgin on Saturday

      Attending the session was Duane and Gail Schatz, Delbert and Cherie Weishaar, Art and Mildred Rath, Gertie Werner, Aaron Levorsen, Allen Kohl, Ken Trana, Weston Dent, Reuben Zacher, Marie Klein, Marcie Koepplin, Esther Zacher and Donna VandenBurg. NP: Glenda Klein and Hazel Behrens.

      The Grant County Horizons Leadership program was held on Saturday, May 5 with 18 people attending. The program is aimed at reducing poverty in small communities with economic decline and develop leadership skills designed to equip citizens to work together as community leaders. While the "LeadershipPlenty" skills will help citizens in their every day life it is intended primarily to help citizens work better together for the common good of the community. The sessions consist of nine modules (or lessons) and the first six were conducted on May 5 with three remaining for Saturday, May 12 starting at 9:00 a.m. at Our Place Café with a free lunch at noon.
