Hospital Hires New Officer

Hospital Hires New  Finance Officer

Brandon Vaughan

As of November, there is a new chief finance officer in the business office at Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center. Brandon Vaughan graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in accountancy in 2005. He interned in Aberdeen, SD with Eide-Bailey and after graduation, worked for Eide Bailey in Fargo. The past year, up until starting at Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center, Brandon worked for Jason Schuh in Bismarck. Initially, Brandon was commuting to work from Bismarck, but this past weekend, he moved into an apartment in Elgin. He says he has driven around the area, visiting several business places and area towns, as well as driving up to Lake Tschida. The lake impressed him with its beauty and ice fishing and camping possibilities. "I've always wanted to get into the health care side of things," Brandon commented. He states he likes his work at Jacobson Memorial Care Center. "It's a little different, but the basics are the same." He also states he is learning something new every day and likes the challenge. He will be a definite asset, both to the hospital and the community, with his positive and friendly attitude.
